Before SLLI contribute to quite a lot in serious discussions. I really like telling people my opinions on different subjects. I always seem to have an opinion yet I try to understand others' points of view. Sometimes I don't understand how or why they think that way, but I hope to better that.
I usually understand what is being said in a discussion. When I don't understand someone's opinion all too well, I ask them to elaborate what they said and ask them to tell me more about their thought process. If people are confused about what I am saying or what I mean by my opinion, I sometimes like to add examples. I try to use something easy to relate to, or I try to restate what I said in a different way. I truly believe it is important to listen to others and try to appropriately view and respond to their opinions, because everyone has the right to their own opinion and their own thinking process. Sometimes if you think it is a 'bad' opinion and you are just not completely understanding what they mean by it. It is helpful to let people explain, even though it may seem bad at first you may find their opinion is quite valid. Being able to view, listen and respond appropriately will help me in the future as it will allow me to work easily with others and achieve what needs to be done. Strategies & Explanation

Evidence
Presentation class
This feedback from Mr. Morton shows that I was able to explain things that have happened in my life very well, even when I only had a short time to prepare the presentation. This also shows that I am able to control my voice quite well, even when speaking about a difficult topic.

Phone calls - feedbackThis feedback from our phone calls shows that I am able to deliver my intent in a call or when talking to someone, with a clear tone. I am also able to organise my ideas to a short, succinct conversation and got all my information out, and got the answers I needed.

Feedback - CaitlinThis piece of feedback from my expo team member - Caitlin - acknowledges that I always try to include others. Although I could work on encouraging them a bit more, I have been working on letting others speak more in discussions.
