Quote of the Day: “A gem cannot be polished without friction, nor man perfected without trials.” – Chinese Proverb
Evening:
Last night, for evening class, we had ‘David Tatnall Photo Display/Exhibit”. Here we got given back the photos we took in the photography class earlier this term – the ones we took with Mr. David Tatnall. They also gave us the negatives from the photos – which is pretty cool. A lot of the photos I took were a little blurry, which was confusing, but some of them came out quite good. One of them in particular, I was really excited about when I took the photo, and it was – I think – my best photo.
As part of the activity to get your best photo, and frame it. We all made frames out of paper and cardboard, added our name, and a title for our artwork. I haven’t thought of a title yet, but I will soon.
It was really nice to see everyone’s photos, and see how people pictured (no pun intended) their pictures to look like.
Today:
For today’s morning class, we had another passport lesson, to prepare for our presentation – which is next week ~(*o*)~
I figured out how I wanted to incorporate my ‘presentation technique’. Since I got puppet show – and I’m not the most artsy person – I decided to do shadow puppets (so I don’t really have to draw out facial features). I started making some of the puppets, but I really need to focus to finish everything in time.
For afternoon class, we had something called T.O.A.S.T. This stands for Teach Others A Skill (or) Talent. Earlier this week, a few people wrote up their names to run a workshop/lesson, where they would teach others a skill/talent they have. It was a really fun afternoon, and everything ran quite smoothly. People wrote feedback for the presenters, and all those who participated were enthusiastic and positive.
Motivated Monday:
This week, my main positives were
Another negative, is that we only have 2 more weeks to go, so I know I have to take every opportunity I have here, and do it to the best of my ability, as I will - most likely - not get another chance like I do here at Snowy.
